Opera for mobile, and for PC.. totally free

Opera never let me down, using it daily.. browsing the web hardcore. Firefox is on the second place (2). The reason why Opera is nr1: browser crash never occurred. Firefox is safe, and updated often.. however.. it do crash sometimes. Chrome, the good newbie. Safri, safe and lovely but not the best. OPERA nr1! - Olivier

Opera 10 internet browser

I absolutely admire the Opera 10 internet browser from Opera Software Inc. I firmly believe the Vikings have finally cracked open a genie out of the bottle.

The Opera 10 internet browsers is so well thought and designed very beautifully so that even a beginner can have a crack at and have so much fun. After all it is a mobile browser design for the well connected mobile community from around the world.

There is NO BEST BROWSER

Folks, there is NO Best Browser - just as there isn't any BEST Car or BEST Bike or BEST Notebook! It all depends on what your needs are and whether the Browser has them and whether it is packaged nicely, in an intuitive GUI.

We at WellOiledPC have reviewed 13 Windows-based Browsers - http://www.welloiledpc.com/browser.htm - with separate analyses of each Browser. Our findings are as follows:

0. Every Browser is free, so feel free to try them out, one by one! :)
1. Firefox is best suited to Web Developers and Online Marketeers
2. Apple Safari for Windows is best suited to those who are more accustomed to using a Mac, now using a Wintel PC...
3. Opera has everything you want, plus its Speed Dial is still the most advanced. It also has thoroughly-loyal fans worldwide!
4. Maxthon is a wonderfully-innovative Browser, if you look deep enough and long enough - you could fall in love with it!

So go ahead - enjoy! - WellOiled PC

OPERA

hello all.
i have been using Firefox since 2005. according to me it was the fastest browser but it opens very slow when you using plug ins. now i have installed opera 10 and its really very nice and attractive interface. i must say it is the fastest browser till date.
Firefox is losing this WAR.

I have been using chrome since its launch and i have experienced the smoothest and quickest web surfing and navigation on it. It is very simple and gives only the essential. And you get a large space for page viewing... - footballguru

misleading... written by Firstname McLastname

Think you got a point there. But if you look over the years wich the browser has been up an working. Firefox have been more secure over the years. But now 2009 i think Opera is mutch safer, Firefox are having a lot of security problems and have therefore released many updates wich has fixed the problems.

One thing i just HATE about Opera is that some sites just won't work in Opera. Not to mentation the new Battlefield game.

So im still holding firefox as the best browser :)

P.S.
It would be nice if you guys could write a little about Safari also. And maybe give us a little bit more information about chrome? Apart from that, great site guys! :D - iviox

misleading...

I didn't read the comments, so someone might have beat me to this, but where you say "Firefox could be a better choice when it comes to standards, support, features and safety" I know you're speaking in relation to IE, but it sounds like you're saying Firefox is safer than Opera, and that's not true. Firefox has security holes due to being open source, opera is locked down and easily the most secure browser choice. Not to mention Opera is w3c standards compliant, and the other choices (firefox, chrome, IE isn't even an option IMHO)are happily NOT. - Firstname McLastname

migrated to firefox

I was sad when I had to move from Opera to Firefox. The biggest showstopper of Opera is that it crashes and runs away (100% CPU, no response) on me. All the time. Otherwise, Opera feels quicker (on my Linux boxes at least). Its zooming-in (Ctrl plus mouse scroll) is much quicker. Its downloader is more informative and better-featured. Its keyword-search management is cleaner and easier to understand. Another gripe against Opera is that its bug tracking system is closed. You never know whether your important bug is acknowledged or not. - hello

4 browsers for me

Opera's GUI doesn't seem to do it for me (although it's my second most used browser). I just find it ugly even with the different themes out there. The speed is what keeps me coming back to Opera. Lately, I've been finding myself using Chrome more and more, who knows, sad to say it may end up bumping off Opera - for me at least. - lkkl

Now a comparison of TEN Browsers!

Hi folks! We'll never complete the discussion on which Browser is the best, for every one has his/ her checklist of 'Wanted' features! Which is why we at WellOiledPC have compared TEN Windows-based Browsers - check out at http://www.welloiledpc.com/browser.htm!

Generally, web developers and online marketing guys prefer Firefox since it has nifty add-ons for checking a website or page's popularity and ranking (like SEOQuest)

Internet Explorer comes with every PC - people who need to surf a lot would be quite happy with IE and may not want to even check out the competition.

Flock is for the Social networking animal - too many good built-in features and add-ons to ignore!!

Safari is for Mac aficionados using an IBM-compatible PC (they would of course put that as 'forced to use an IBM-compatible PC'!!)

And then, of course you have the others - Opera, Maxthon, SeaMonkey, Google Chrome and CometBird...

We have also analyzed each of these 10 Browsers in detail, on separate pages! - TEN Browsers
